Individual dues are $10, Family dues are $12.
Chapter meetings are usually the 2nd Weds. of each month
Meetings are free and open to the public
Please note that the meeting will be on Tuesday, November 10th due to the library being closed next Wednesday for Veteran’s Day.
Mr. John Connolly will present a program on: “ Warriors of the Lakota”
Mr. Connolly’s program is an ethnology presentation based on a project that he was involved with on the Lakota Sioux Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. The focus of the project was to develop the warrior society as a means for strengthening and building a more successful, positive male walk of life.
For Archaeology Month this year the chapter has a display focusing on the Shaw House excavations over a number of years. The display is located in the second floor display case at the library.

For our annual Holiday Party in December Dr. Susan Prezzano from Clarion University will be providing a program on one of her projects.
Dues are now due and payable for the 2010 membership year. Please pay Lanny Vavro at the chapter meetings or send them to her at 304 Westbrook Drive, Butler, PA 16001. Individual memberships are $10/yr. and family memberships are $12/year.
Upcoming Events November 5-7, 2009 – Eastern States Archaeological Federation 76th Annual Meeting. Holiday Inn, Johnstown, PA. Hotel rate is $85/night. For more information go to esaf-archaeology.org.

Directions to the Library:
From Rt. 8 South - go north on Main Street. Turn right onto E. North Street. Go one block and turn left onto N. McKean Street. Go a half block to the library which will be on the left.
From Rt. 8 North - go south on Main Street. Turn left onto E. North Street. Go one block and turn left onto N. McKean Street. Go a half block to the library which will be on the left.
From the East on Rt. 422 and Rt. 68 - exit Rt. 422 at Jefferson Street. Turn left onto Jefferson Street. Go to stop light at bottom of hill (Monroe Hotel on right) and continue straight to the next light. Turn right onto N. McKean Street and go a half block to the library which will be on the left.
From the West on Rt. 68 and Rt. 356 - Follow Rt. 68 and Rt. 356 (also called Cunningham Street when you get into downtown) and cross Main Street in left lane. Go one block and turn left onto N. McKean Street. Continue straight through next light and stop sign and library will be one half block on the left.
Parking:
There is parking in front of the library. If there are no open spaces
in front of the library go past the library to the stop sign. Turn left
and go one half block to N. Cedar Street (alley) and turn left onto N.
Cedar Street. Continue on N. Cedar Street into parking lot.
