ABOUT CART:

WHAT WE DO:

We will respond to incidents that involve domestic or agricultural animals in an emergency situation. We must be deployed by County Emergency Management. Examples include (but aren't limited to):

  • Relocation of family pets due to fire, storm, flood, or other natural disaster.
  • Assistance in the evacuation of families that include pets in a disaster situation.
  • Providing temporary shelter for displaced animals due to disaster situations.
  • Response to a traffic accident involving livestock.
  • Livestock round-up when loose animals present a hazard.

When deployed we should have the following information:

  • -Incident Location
  • -Staging Area
  • -Type and number of animals involved.
  • -Is the owner on scene?
  • -What specifically needs to be done?

    WHAT WE DON'T DO:

Clearfield CART is not the primary agency for incidents involving stray or wild animals or situations that fall under the jurisdiction of humane officers, law enforcement or the PA Game Commission, although these agencies may call on us for assistance if necessary.
