Parents' Notes
New Scouts are required to have the following uniform pieces:
  • Blue Cub Scout shirt
  • "Minsi Trails" Council patch
  • Purple World Crest logo
  • Number "58"

    Other parts, such as the belt (the belt is helpful though!), shorts, and Centennial insignia for the World Crest, are optional. Each new scout will also need the handbook and neckerchief for their rank.

    New Adult Leaders are required to have have "Youth Protection Training" before they can register has a leader. For training information please see Committee Chair Andrea.

    		•  Cub Scouting has the following purposes:
  • Influences character development and spiritual growth.
  • Develops habits and attitudes of good citizenship.
  • Encourages sportsmanship and pride.
  • Grows strong in mind and body.
  • Improves understanding within the family.
  • Strengthens a boy's ability to get along with others.
  • Fosters personal achievement.
  • Develops new interests and skills.
  • Shows a boy how to be helpful and do his best.

    Pinewood Derby 2010
    The Pinewood Derby was held on Saturday, February 27th in conjunction with Pack 66. We would like to thank Pack 66 for their hospitality. Three of our scouts went on to the North Valley District Pinewood Derby on March 27, 2010. Congratulations to them!

    		 Pocono Scout Day 2010
    The Scouts had a great day at Pocono Raceway. We were able to meet some of the ARCA Series drivers. We also got to see Sprint Cup Practice and watched the ARCA Race. There was a great time had by all!

    Pack 58 Code of Conduct
    The Code of Conduct is a list of behavior expectations and consequences if the codes are broken. The Code of Conduct has been written by the scouts of Pack 58.

  • No running in the meeting hall - Sit for 5 minutes.
  • No yelling out during the meeting - Sit for 2 minutes.
  • No throwing stuff during the meeting - Stand at attention for 2 minutes.
  • No bad language - Say Cub Scout Promise and Law of the Pack
