Winter Survival
January 9, 2010
Our Webelos spent the day with the Boy Scouts from Troop 32. They participated in the skills competition.
Ashland Sleepover
December 4-5, 2009
We spent the night at the Ashland Nature Center. The scouts went on a night hike and learned about nocturnal animals. In the morning they went on another hike and then went Deep in the Forest.
Scouting for Food
November 21, 2009
Pack 92 and Troop 32 collected almost 700 food items that were donated to the Upper Darby Food Bank.
National Constitution Center
November 14, 2009
We visited the National Constitution Center. The scouts worked on various Webelos Activity Badges, and rank advancements.
Bears Visit Bicycle Shop
November 2009
The Bears visited Drexel Hill Bicycle Shop. They learned about bike safety and how to tune up their bikes to make sure they are running properly.
Tigers Visit Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Company
November 11, 2009
Our Tigers visited the Drexel Hill fire house. They learned about the fire trucks and how the firemen put out fires. They also learned about fire safety.
Cub Scout Olympics
October 31, 2009
Pack 92 once again competed in various feats of skill and endurance with other Packs from the Conestoga District.
Popcorn Fundraiser
October 1 to 31, 2009
Our scouts went out and sold popcorn. We held Show and Sales at Burmont Hardware, Wawa #213, Boscov’s Granite Run Mall, Fischer’s Hardware, and Acme Bond Shopping Center. We sold over $10,000.00 this year! Way to go Pack 92!
Recruitment Night
September 30, 2009
New scouts and their families came to our Recruitment Night to find out about Pack 92. We had a very impressive showing with 10 new families visiting us and joining.
Welcome Back Night
September 16, 2009
We welcomed back our scouts and families from the summer. The scouts played our traditional Bingo games and won lots of prizes
9-11 Remembrance Day Observance
September 11, 2009
Scouts from our pack made homemade thank you cards for the officers of the SEPTA Transit Police Department. We delivered them to the officers at the 69th Street Terminal. The officers gave us a tour of the terminal, let the boys sit in a patrol and operate the lights. They got to meet a K-9 officer and his partner, and a SORT officer.
Ridley Creek State Park Camping Trip
July 10 to July 11, 2009
We had some great weather for our first camping trip to Ridley Creek State park. Seven families part took in the camping experience. The scouts helped their parents set-up their tents. We had hot dogs and baked potatoes served by the scouts. There was the traditional campfire with stories told by the scouts. We ended the night with roasting marshmallows and making smores. The next day after we had breakfast and broke camp there was a hike where the boys identified trees and talked about evasive plant species and man’s impact on the park environment.
Drexel Park 2009 4th of July Parade
July 4, 2009
For the second year in a row Pack 92 marched in the Drexel Park 4th of July Parade. We again marched with the Marine Corps League, the Upper Darby Township Police Department, and local fire companies. This year the scouts made a float which they pulled along the parade route. After the parade there was fun and food.
