Did you know that anyone who is old enough to walk can go orienteering? It's true! Check out the Delaware Valley Orienteering Association website at www.dvoa.org for more information about local meets and orienteering in general. And watch our calendar for the closest event to us!

Looking for a trip to a planetarium? Check out the New Jersey State Museum in Trenton! The show themes vary, as do the other exhibits, so go to their website for more info: newjerseystatemuseum.org.

Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol offers nature programs as well as trails to hike! Looking for a service project? Northminster Presbyterian Church keeps collection bins for pet foods all year round! Cat food & litter, dog food, and miscellaneous items like bowls, toys, & treats are all welcome! They are donated to people at the local food banks who are struggling to feed their pets. You can drop them off Tuesday nights from 6:30-8pm or contact Cyndi or Michelle for a drop off! **If you would like to donate to a local food pantry, the E.R.A. pantry is at 8525 New Falls Road in the United Christian Church. Contact the director, Nancy Hoinkis at 215-547-1676 or at ERAFoodPantry@gmail.com for more info. You may drop off donations directly at UCC on Mondays from 6-8pm.

Interested in pottery? Earth Center Pottery at Tyler State Park offers wonderful Girl Scout programs! For more info, contact Jennifer Miller at jennifer@earthcenterpottery.com or 267-218-0290.

Are you looking for a patch program about a country, or maybe even Juliette Low? Patchwork Designs is the site for you! You can earn a country patch while you're preparing for Thinking Day each year! And they have a new Juliette Low patch every fall! Go to patchworkdesigns.net to see all they have to offer! (Just remember, these patches go on the back of a vest or sash.)

Do you wonder where the cute non-Girl-Scout patches the shop sells come from? Advantage Emblem! They specialize in laser cut shaped patches that are so cool! Check them out at advantageemblem.com.

Do you need ideas for troop activities? Check out makingfriends.com (click on Scouts). For even more ideas, go to ScoutingWeb.com. You'll find activity ideas, traditions, and so much more!

Do you need ideas for a local trip? Look at pennsburymanor.org, mercermuseum.org, or churchvillenaturecenter.org. All are non-profits that often run programs that can help you with a Journey or badge!

Have you been to Valley Forge National Historic Park yet? Don't just drive through it on your way to the Valley Forge service center! Schedule a trip for your troop! Start at the Visitor Center where you can watch a short film. Then take a self-guided tour, a trolley tour, a cell phone tour, or even a guided tour with park rangers!
