Wade into boating at Core Creek Park! Core Creek Boat Rental is open from the first Saturday in May until mid-October. Adults may rent watercraft for a nominal fee any open day and life jackets are included (and MUST be worn). An experienced adult should be on the water with you at all times, whether you are in a rowboat, canoe or kayak. And you should get thorough instructions before you leave the dock! Check Safety Activity Checkpoints for more Girl Scout info. For questions about the boat rentals, call 215-757-1225 or go to buckscounty.org.

Fencing could be the sport for you! Find out at the Bucks County Academy of Fencing! They will run a 2 hour group class for Girl Scouts, where you are introduced to fencing and even get to try it yourself! For more information go to bcaf.com.

DUDE!! Want to go to a dude ranch? You can head up to the Catskills in New York to Pine Grove Dude Ranch (pinegrove-ranch.com) or to Rocking Horse Ranch (rockinghorseranch.com). Or you can visit the oldest working ranch on the east coast right up in the Poconos! Check out Malibu Dude Ranch at malibududeranch.com.

Did you have fun boating at Core Creek? Maybe you're ready for whitewater rafting! Pocono Whitewater offers rafting trips without the campground included. Check them out at poconowhitewater.com.

Where can you have fun and eat all things chocolate? Hershey Park of course!! Hershey Park Campground holds a Girl Scout camporee every June, plus they offer a camping/park package during the park operating season May - September. Get more details at HersheyPark.com (click on Groups, then Scouts).

Silver Lake Nature Center is ready to help you earn badges! They have workshops ready for the Flowers, Gardening, and Animal Habitat badges. Contact PattiAnn Lynn at palynn@co.bucks.pa.us or 215-785-1177 ext. 12 to set up a workshop for your troop!
