  • April 2008
At April's Meeting we met with reprsentative from Mid Penn Bank and USDA to discuss us applying for a USDA Loan and a loan with Mid Penn Bank. The application process with USDA will be starting soon.
  • March 2008
At March's meeting, plans were set forth and a meeting has been set up for sometime in April for the building committee to meet with a reprsentative from Mid Penn Bank and a representative from the USDA in regards to starting the application process for getting a loan from the USDA for the construction of the new station/hall.
  • February 2008
Our efforts at constructing a new station/hall are slowly but surely moving foward. The plans have been drawn up and a building committee was just put together and are currently checking on prices. Look for our fund raising efforts to increase in the next few years as we work towards making money to put towards constructing this new station/hall.

A little information regarding our current buildings. Our Fire Station was built in 1979 and we have now out grown this station. We have 3 pieces of apparatus housed in a 2 bay fire station. Our Fire Hall was built in the late 1800's and used to be the town shirt factory. We purchased the building in the 1950's and the kitchen was added in 1966. We have also out grown this building. The third building is the Old Fire House, which we now use as storage. Again we have outgrown this building and have very little space left in this building.

With the company looking to build the new station/hall, we wish to be able to combine everything from the current 3 buildings under one roof, while also providing additional space for the company to grow into the future. Please check back often for updates on the building.
