2011 Year In Review Video SANTA ESCORTED AROUND THE TOWNSHIP
On Saturday, December 24th, 2011 members met at the fire house and decorated the Engine, Squad and Utility to help escort Santa around the Township. Santa arrived at 4:50 PM and once he was on top of the Engine he was escorted around to various places in Jackson Township. Special thanks to all the members who helped to escort Santa and also special thanks to Santa to taking time out of his busy night to visit the kids and residents of Jackson Township.

FIRE COMPANY CHRISTMAS PARTY
On Saturday, December 17th, 2011 we held our 6th annual Christmas Party at the fire hall. The evening started out with social hour between 17:00 hours and 18:00 hours. This was followed by the meal. Williams Catering supplied the delicous meal for the evening. We would like to thank Williams Catering again for catering our Christmas Party this year. We would also like to thank the crew from the New Buffalo Fire Company for again standing by and covering our territory while we had our party. After the meal Chief Raymond Urich, Jr., introduced the guest speaker for the night, Thomas Welker. After the guest speaker it was time to hand out the awards.
The first awards handed out were presented by Donald Shutt, Jr., EMA Coordinator for Reed Township. Donald Shutt, Jr., handed out certificates of appreciation signed by himself and the Reed Township Supervisors for assistance during the flooding in Reed Township in September of this year. Certificates of Appreciation went to the following companies and who accepted them:

It was then time to move on to the funny awards.
Andrew Snyder got the wheel chock he ran over earlier in the year. He also got a paper to help him respond to County better when he talks on the radio so that he knows which vehicle he is in.
Troy Hoffman got a set of directions on how to ventilate a structure with the storm windows open. He also got a refelctive vest, flashlight and a sign on a pole that says "Stop" and "Go" so he has no excuse not to help direct traffic.

Jesse Shutt got directions on how to make Chicken Corn Soup and Ham Bean Soup, and also signs that say "Kettle 1" and "Kettle 2".
Lonny Lenker got a camera so that he can take pictures of the signs that he put up so he knows which telephone pole they are on.

After the awards were given out we then watched a slide show presentation put together by Jesse Shutt. Door prizes were also given away at this time. We would like to thank all the businesses and individuals who donated door prizes for the night. After the door prizes were handed out Karaoke began for the night. We hope everyone had a good time at this years Christmas Party and we hope to see you there next year.

SANTA VISITS FISHERVILLE
On Friday, December 9th, 2011 Santa Claus made a visit to the Social Hall in Fisherville. Santa visited with the kids and spent some time posing for pictures. Special thanks to the Fisherville Fire Police for making arrangments for Santa to stop.

MEMBERS DELIVER COATS TO UPPER DAUPHIN HUMAN SERVICES
On December 26th, 2011, members loaded up the Engine and the Squad and headed to Elizabethville to deliver coats to the Upper Dauphin Human Services Center. This year Gratz Fire Company approcahed us about participating this year and could we collect coats. Gratz Fire Company collected toys and Berrysburg Fire Company collected food. Thank you to eveyrone that doanted coats.

FIRE PREVENTION AT ENDERS-FISHERVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
On Friday, October 14th, members loaded up the Engine and the Squad and headed over to Enders-Fisherville Elementary School to do Fire Prevention for the kids at the school. A fun time was had by all teaching the children about fire prevention.

On Friday, October 7th, 2011 we held a Fish Fry at the social hall. We served over 100 people at the Fish Fry and wish to thank everyone that came out to the fish fry and for supporting the fire company.

PRE-SCHOOL FIRE PREVENTION
On Thursday, September 29th, the pre-school class from the Messiah Lutheran Church in Fisherville visited the fire house to learn about fire prevention. There was a total of 19 children that visited the station. Cheif Raymond Urich, Jr., Firefighter/EMT Jesse Shutt and Photographer/EMT William Bailey all talked to the children about fire prevention.

HAKLIFAX CARNIVAL, NIGHT 4
On Saturday, August 13th, members manned the candy wheel for the last night of the Halifax Area Firemen's Carnival. Thank you to everyone that stopped at the candy wheel over the four nights and supported the fire company. Also special thanks to the Halifax Fire Department for the invite again this year.
HALIFAX CARNIVAL, NIGHT 3
On Friday, August 12th, members once again manned the candy wheel at the Halifax Area Firemen's Carnival for the third night. Thank you once again to everyone who stopped by the candy wheel and supported the fire company.
HALIFAX CARNIVAL, NIGHT 2 AND PARADE
On Thursday, August 11th, members loaded up the Engine, Tanker and Squad and headed into Halifax for their annual carnival parade. After going through judging and then the parade, members went back to the carnival grounds and enjoyed the food and games. The Engine brought home 1st Place for Engine 2000 and Newer and the Squad brought home 1st Place for Best Specialty. Members also ran the candy wheel for the second night of the carnival. Thank you again to all who stopped in at the candy wheel and supported the fire company.

On Wednesday, August 10th, members of the fire company set up and ran the Candy Wheel at the first night of the Halifax Area Firemen's Carnival. Thank you to everyone that stopped by the candy wheel to support the Fisherville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1.
BERRYSBURG PARADE
On Tuesday, August 2nd, members loaded up the Engine, Tanker and Squad and headed to Berrysburg for their annual carnival parade. After going through the parade members went back to the carnival grounds where they enjoyed the food and games.

On Tuesday, July 19th, 2011 members loaded up the Squad and headed up to Klingerstown for their annual firemen's carnival parade. After going through the parade members went back to the carnival grounds and enjoyed the food and played some games.
2011 FESTIVAL, NIGHT 3
On Saturday, July 9th, 2011 we had the last night of our annual festival. We finally had a day with no rain with a crystal clear day and night out for the community to enjoy the food and games and listen to Shannon play for the night. Congratulations to all the winners of our nightly 50/50 drawings, the winners of the two afgans, and the winners of our big cahs raffle. Also special thanks to Valley Ag & Turf for donating the tractor to pull the kiddie rides, David Faust for donating the trailer that was used as the stage, Halifax EMS for providing EMS coverage and all the cake bakers.

On Friday, July 8th, 2011 we held the second night of our annual festival. Once again the rain held off for the night and the community again came out to play the games, enjoy the food and watch Whiskey Shooters perform for the night.

On Thursday, July 7th, 2011 was the first night of our annual festival. The rain stopped a few hours before the start of the festival and the community came out to see the Lykens Valley Bluegress Band play for the night.

On Sunday, June 26th, 2011 we held our second chicken bbq of the year at the fire house. Once again we sold out before noon and we thank everyone that came out to support us. Our next chicken bbq is on Sunday, July 24th, 2011.
MILLERSBURG FIRE COMPANY BANQUET
On Saturday, June 25th, 2011 Chief 216 attended the Millersburg Fire Companies annual banquet. The fire company was presented with a certificate of appreciation for being a mutual aid company to the Millersburg Fire Company. The food was delicious and our very own Jesse Shutt was the speaker at the banquet how gave a brief presentation on the history of the fire service in Upper Dauphin County. Thank you Millersburg Fire Company for the invitation.
HEIGINS PARADE
On Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011, members loaded up the Squad and headed up to Heigins for their annual parade. The Squad came home with 1st Place for Best Appearing Squad.
LYKENS FIREMEN'S CARNIVAL PARADE
On Tuesday, June 21st, 2011, members loaded up the Engine and the Tanker and headed up to Lykens for their annual firemen's block party parade. Members had a good time at the parade and the block party afterwards.

On Saturday, June 18th, 2011 members loaded up the Tanker and headed to Jonestown for the 2011 Lebanon County Firemen's Convention Parade. The Tanker came home with 2nd Place for Out of County, Most Functionable & Ready Tanker.

2011 DAUPHIN COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION CONVENTION
On Saturday, June 11th, 2011 members loaded up all four trucks and headed up to Williamstown for the 93rd Annual Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention Parade/ After getting registered members took the trucks through judging and then lined up and waited for the parade to start.
The Parade started at 14:00 hours and lasted 1.2 miles through the town of Williamstown. After the parade was over the members went to Station 24 where there was food, games and a live band until the awards were given out.
This year the Fisherville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 came home with 4 Trophies for the following:
1st Place - Most Functional Engine 1987 to 1996 in Dauphin County.
1st Place - Most Functional Pumper-Tanker in Dauphin County
1st Place - Most Functional Speciality in Dauphin County
Best Appearing Company Overall in Dauphin County.
A special thanks goes out to all the members who helped to get all of the trucks ready for the parade and a great job to everyone!!

BREAKFAST AND SCRAP METAL DAY
On Saturday, May 14th, 2011 we held an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast at the fire house along with our annual Scrap Metal Day. We would like to thank everyone that came out to the breakfast in the morning and supporting the fire company.
We would also like to thank everyone that donated scrap metal during our annual scrap metal day. It was once again a success for the fire company this year.

CHICKEN BBQ SELLS OUT

FIRE POLICE HOLD EASTER EGG HUNT AT FIRE HOUSE
On Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 the Fisherville Fire Police held an Easter Egg Hunt at the Fire Station grounds. The Easter Bunny made a special visit to see all the kids that showed up to hunt Easter eggs.
