GREENCASTLE LIONS CLUB BULLETIN

OCTOBER 2005

A Directors meeting is scheduled for Thursday 10/6/05, 6:30 p.m. at the offices of Eagle Construction on Rt. 11. Major items scheduled include a discussion of our tax ID number, the District Projects donation, Leader Dog request, Hurricane request and the Chambers request for Heritage Christmas. All members are encouraged to attend Director’s meetings. Your attendance may be used to make up for missed meetings.

Tuesday, October 11th (6:30pm) our club will visit the Greene Township Lions. They meet at the Family Traditions Restaurant. Let Mike know if you plan to go so he can give them a count.

The October 13th and 27th meetings will be held at the Antrim house at 6:30pm. Saturday, October 8th, at the School Farm for the Apple Festival. October 14th (Friday) is our White Cane Day. Please sign up with Lion Paul Freeman.

Shredder day in Greencastle will be held Saturday, Oct.22 at the borough maintenance sheds from 10am-2pm. This is a chance for you and your friends to get rid of all that confidential stuff you were afraid to put in the trash. Call Lion Don Coldsmith (597-3439) for information. Please come and help.

PA State Council Meets, Friday Nov. 4 and Sat. Nov 5 at the Wyndham Hotel in Harrisburg. The Council has asked for volunteers to work at the registration table and to help sell raffle tickets. Reservations by Oct. 19.

The District Governor will visit our club on November 10. Nov. 10-12 Virginia Pin Trading Club Swap, Winchester, VA

14T Cabinet Meeting Sunday Nov. 14 at Grantsville. Zone Meeting Monday Nov.14 at the Antrim House @6:30 PM. Saturday Nov. 19 @ 9:21 am meet for the Christmas parade.

Please help the Lions Stamps for the Wounded program by collecting USED stamps from your mail. Just cut (rip) off the corner with the stamp (not too close please) and bring them in to Lion Herb when you have a batch. Thanks
