White Rose Chapter mourns the loss of two members: Parliamentarian Kitty Welsh and Past President, Deb Kuntz. Kitty and Deb were dedicated members of White Rose Chapter. We loved and respected their leadership and valued their friendship. They will be missed by all!
Deb & Kitty
The following poem was written by member Charlotte Mallonee in memory of Debbie and Kitty:
In heaven, these days, it is said, it is true …
The angels are happy and God is too.
Since Kitty and Debbie have come there to stay
They’ve been organizing heaven a little each day.
The meetings are run in a more orderly fashion
Roberts Rules of Order are used with a passion.
The files are all straightened and locked up each night
The minutes are written and read just right.
And after they’ve finished their work each day
They get together and probably pray
For each of us who mourn and grieve
And wonder how they could ever leave.
But Kitty and Debbie are happy up there
They miss us, for sure, and they certainly care
That their friends and their family are feeling so down
And it makes them unhappy to see us all frown.
So while we are grieving for two of our members
Let us think of the good times and try to remember
The fun that we had and the moments we shared
And let them both know how much that we cared.
Now God and his angels are thankful in heaven
For such super admins to have just been given.
And think of the recognition that we will soon see
When they tell Him they learned their skills in IAAP!
So now it is time to say our farewells and such
To our friends whom we loved so very much
And while this poem is trying to be witty
It is lovingly dedicated to our friends, Debbie and Kitty.
I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,
Good friends, good times,
a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me
God wanted me now;
He set me free.

What Cancer Cannot Do
Cancer is so limited…
It cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith,
It cannot eat away peace,
It cannot destroy confidence,
It cannot kill friendship,
It cannot shut out memories,
It cannot silence courage,
It cannot invade the soul,
It cannot reduce eternal life,
It cannot quench the Spirit,
It cannot lessen the power of the Resurrection.
