EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
The township currently has a Emergency Management Coordinator and a Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. These two positions are volunteer positions. The role of the EMC and the Deputy EMC is to respond and access reports of flooding and/or any kind of damage that occurs in the township as a result from a natural disaster. The EMC and Deputy EMC then report back to the township supervisiors and also to the Dauphin County Emergency Management Agency. HALIFAX AMBULANCE
The Halifax Area Ambulance and Rescue Association is the townships BLS service. They are stationed in Halifax Township and currently run 2 ambulances. They provide Basic Life Support 24 hours a day to the reisdents of Jackson Township whenever a 911 call comes in. If you would like to find out more please visit the links section on the home page.
MEDIC 6
Medic 6 is the townships ALS service. They are stationed in Elizabethville Borough and currently run 2 ALS Paramedic Squads, and 5 ambulances. They provide Advanced Life Support 24 hours a day to the residents of Jackson Township whenever a 911 call comes in. FIRE COMPANY
The township is protected by the Fisherville Volunteer Fire Company #1. They are located at 16 Church Street. The fire company was organized in 1927 after a disastous fire on September 5th, 1927 destroyed almost half of the town, taking out most of the business district. The fire company currently runs a Engine, Tanker and a Utility. They also provide Fire Police who respond to the scene of the call and control traffic.
