A Message from Queen Mumcat

This year, I'm taking a few suggestions from attending the Queen's Council and make three additions to our chapter's traditions.

First, sisters are required to wear "Something Red on their Head." Ladies, this is the name of our society..."The Red Hat Society" and this is part of the fun. If a sister does not wear our colors and does not appear with some type of red headpiece, she will be assessed a fine of $2.00 payable to our chapter's kitty.

Second, it is time to share our sisterhood with other women. Any sister is permitted and encouraged to bring one guest to each of our events. How else do we spread the word about the Red Hat Society, but to share the fun? This would be a great time to share one of your red hats so your guest would feel par of our sisterhood.

Do our guests become members of our chapter? No, we are just sharing our sisterhood with others in hope of other RHS chapters forming in our area. Just remember to add the person to your count when making your reservation with me. I want to give an accurate number to the restaurants.

Third, each month we will celebrate a different motto. The motto will reflect our roles as mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, teachers, and community leaders and listed on our web page by months.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands;
one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.
