About the Office of Chaplaincy Services
The Office of Chaplaincy Services of The Lutheran Orthodox Church was begun in January 2009 by special appointment of the Council of Bishops. The Directors are The Most Rev. ++Heidi StMichael,D.D. and The Most Rev. ++Steffan StMichael,D.D., Bishops.
The Office of Chaplaincy Services of The Lutheran Orthodox Church is a worldwide ministry. Its purpose is to approve, educate, facilitate, equip, and advise ordained ministers of The Lutheran Orthodox Church for the specialized ministry of chaplaincy in institutional settings.

| Chaplain Endorsement
Every minister of the Lutheran Orthodox Church who desires to practice chaplain ministry in an institutional setting, whether paid or volunteer, should forward their credentials to the Office of Chaplaincy Services either by e-mail or snail mail to obtain an appropriate letter of endorsement from this Office. |

Credentials
Years of Ordained Ministry (minimum of 3 years)Ordination (date, place, consecrator)(If you have come to us from another church body please include those ordination details as well.)Educational HistoryClinical Pastoral Education (number of units, Name of institution, type of unit, i.e. intership, residency, extended, supervisory)Chaplaincy certification, if any.Whenever possible please supply copies of your certificates. |
