CONCORDIA THEOLOGICA INSTITUTE FOR BIBLICAL STUDIES

Providing Tuition Free Education For Evangelical Protestant Ministers

Greetings and welcome to The Concordia Theologica Institute For Biblical Studies page. We welcome you to browse through our site and invite you to contact us if you have any questions.

May The Peace Of God be with you.

OUR PURPOSE

We are the official Training Institute for The General Conference of Evangelical Protestant Churches(GCEPC), LEPC and EPC. Our institute provides denominational church education and training for those wishing to apply for ordination as Lutheran/Evangelical Protestant Ministers.

HISTORY OF "CONCORDIA THEOLOGICA"

Many Spirit led Christian men and women contacted the GCEPC to inquire about ordination or transfer of current credentials through our denomination. Unfortunately, some did not have the educational background required to meet our criteria for ordination and did not have the resources to attend a traditional 4 year college.

In the year 2000, the Board of Governnors, Executive and Advisory Boards decided to establish the Institute to provide an alternative educational institution for those seeking denominational ordination in The Lutheran/Evangelical Protestant Church. This Institute is the result of much hard work and dedication by the staff and faculty. It is designed to meet the educational requirements for ordination into The GCEPC Lutheran/Evangelical Protestant Church by those who previously would not qualify.

OUR CURRICULUM

Our courses are designed to train ministers and prepare them for ordination into The Lutheran/Evangelical Protestant Church, GCEPC.

All courses are Bible based and designed to meet the challenges faced by today's Ordained Minister.

Each course was developed by an Ordained General Conference Evangelical Protestant Minister and presented in his or her area of expertise.

Each course has an Instructor/Mentor that may be reached by enrolled students through U.S.P.S. mail or online, and will respond to your emails promptly if you are having any difficulty or questions on the course you are enrolled in.

REQUIREMENTS & COST

Students MUST have a valid and verifiable high school diploma (minimum) or its equivalent, and adhere to THE STATEMENT OF FAITH AND CORE BELIEFS of The General Conference of Evangelical Protestant Churches. They must also have a desire and calling to serve The Lord in accordance with the GCEPC precepts, and a commitment to carry through that calling.

Students must successfully complete the 10 Core Courses and may elect to take additional courses if they wish to attain an advanced Church degree. Each student must also meet the thesis requirement for an advanced Church degree award.

An average grade of 75% is required for graduation.

The Institute offers its programs TUITION FREE FOR THOSE WHO ARE COMMITTED TO CREDENTIALING WITH THE LEPC/GCEPC. Our courses are not open to the general public at this time.

ABOUT OUR FACULTY

The Church's Faculty and Staff of The Concordia Theologica Institute For Biblical Studies come from a wide and diverse background. Instructors are Ordained General Conference Evangelical Protestant Ministers or approved adjunct professors and collectively represent over one hundred years of experience in service to our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Institute is under the direction of The Presiding Bishop and Executive Board. All of our Faculty and Staff serve voluntarily and freely so as to provide the best possible education at the least possible cost to you. Most of our Faculty have earned Church conferred Ph.D., or Masters Degrees in Theology or Biblical Studies, and all have served the Lord as either Ministers, Pastors, Counselors, Evangelists,in leadership and other ministry capacities

CHURCH INSTITUTE DEGREE PROGRAM

Students who take the 10 Core Courses through the Institute earn the Church's Bachelor in Christian Ministry. Institute students may go on to earn the Church degree of Doctor Of Ecclesiology (Ecc.D.) or our Church's Ph.D. in Biblical Studies by continuing their studies and completing a 15,000 word thesis.

We are also now offering an Internet Study Program for those students who are outside the USA and Canada. Completion of this program also results in the Church's Bachelor in Christian Ministry.

Upon successful award of at least a Bachelor degree by the Institute, students will have met the educational requirements for ordination into The Lutheran/Evangelical Protestant Church. The graduate is then invited to apply for ordination to The Lutheran/Evangelical Protestant Church.Completion of the education program does not guarantee ordination.
