Hello Parents,

We would like to welcome you to the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). We have much to offer to our children and we need your help and support in doing so.

The goal of the PTO at Mahanoy Area is to build a strong relationship with the parents and teachers within the elementary school. The PTO holds monthly meetings where we discuss how we can help the whole student body. We participate with Meet the Teacher Night, supply pencil boxes and swim bags for our Kindergartners, and provide goodies for the Fall Festivities. Each student also receives a gift for his or her birthday and we make sure that every student has an opportunity to receive a yearbook and are able to attend the annual class fieldtrip. These are just a few of the ways PTO touches every child.

None of this would be possible without the strong support of our PTO.

We invite you to become a member. Our membership fee is just $2.00!!! Please join and participate in all that your $2.00 buys and your schedule permits. This is a great way for you as parents to interact with your child's school and participate in a few of their "special" days.

Just a reminder to all parents that your childs fundraiser will be avaiable for pick up on November 19th 2008 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. in the elementary cafeteria. We ask that you Please use the High School Gymnasium Entrance and also that you Do Not Park in the Bus Lane. Thank You for your support PTO
