Mahanoy Youth Wrestling Club By-Laws
Purpose: To allow the parents of children currently involved in the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling Club to have control of how the program is run.
Election of Officers: A board of officers will be elected at the beginning of every wrestling season. You must have a child currently involved in the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling Club to be eligible for office or to vote.
1. All offices are held for one year.
2. All votes are by majority rule
3. All established by-laws require a majority to change.
4. The president does not vote on any issue unless a tie breaking vote is needed.
5. The president or vice-president must be present for a legal meeting.
6. No one person can hold more than one office in one year.
Duties of Office:
President:
1. Presides over all meetings.
2. Oversees all other offices
3. May speak on behalf of the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling
Vice-President:
1. Acts as president when the president is unavailable.
2. Assists in presidential duties.
3. Assists all other offices.
4. Is responsible for all fundraising events.
Secretary:
1. Records and documents all information involving the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling club.
Treasurer:
1. Keeps records and turns into the secretary all financial matters of the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling Club.
2. Provides financial reports to all necessary parties.
Facilitator:
1. Acts on behalf of the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling Club when dealing with outside programs.
2. May speak on behalf of the program with presidential permission.
Must attend at least 50% of all practices in current season.
Must fulfill the requirements for all fundraisers held in current season.
Entitlements of Active Membership:
End of season award.
Club funded tournaments (must be paid for in adavance and will be refunded upon participation in said tournament)
Graduation Award at end of 6th grade for wrestlers who have maintained active membership in the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling Club for a minimum of three years.
Seasoned Wrestler Award at the end of 6th grade for wrestlers who have maintained active membership in the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling club for a minimum of six years.
Property of Mahanoy Youth Wrestling Club: The following items are the property of the Mahanoy Youth Wrestling Club and Coach Thomas J. McMahon.

Two (2) 42’ X 42’ collegiate wrestling mats
Fifty (50) black and gold singlets of various sizes.
Refunds: Registration fees are non-refundable. Emergency situations will be considered on an individual basis. A majority vote by the officers decides whether a registration fee should be refunded.
