MOMS Club of Milford, PA - Chapter History 
A Milford mom started the MOMS Club of Milford, PA in June 2008. She had been a member of a MOMS Club Chapter in another state when her son was very young, but then her family relocated to Pennsylvania. Upon learning that there wasn't a local Chapter already established, she decided to start a Chapter to bring that same support she previously enjoyed to her new community.

"The MOMS Club is a terrific resource for at-home moms to share parenting experiences, to offer suggestions of great local places to take children for fun outings and, just as important, a MOMS Club provides at-home moms a much needed opportunity to forge wonderful friendships with other at-home mothers," stated the Chapter's Founding Mom.

As the club grows we will have a lot to offer our members. Each month we hope to fill our calendar with craft days, field trips, New Member Breakfasts, park days, group wide playgroups, MOMS Night Out, as well as our monthly business meeting. We will also strive to conduct at least one service project each year that benefits children and their families in the Milford area, such as donating supplies to local charities.
 
Benefits of Membership

Friendship - A great way to meet and make friends with other at-home moms.
Activities - Enjoy a variety of fun and exciting events to do with your children.
Age Appropriate Playgroups - As our club grows we hope to offer playgroups
for your little ones to socialize with other children their own age.
MOMS Night Out - A monthly evening out with other moms for a well deserved break.
Community Service Project - As our club grows, we will strive to be involved in projects to benefit local charities.		 Membership Information

Our club always welcomes new members. We are a non-profit organization. Our annual dues are $25. All monies collected for the MOMS Club are used exclusively for our programs and service projects. If you would like to see what we are about, please contact us about attending a club activity or business meeting. If the dues pose a hardship to you, accomodations can certainly be made.
 
Club Activities

Our Chapter is in its infancy, however our goal is to compile our calendars monthly at club-wide business meetings. Any member may suggest an activity so that our calendar reflects the diverse interests and hobbies of our entire membership. Some of the fun activities that we would like to fill our calendar with include:
  • Club Playgroups
  • Park Days
  • Walking/Exercise Activities
  • Trips to Claws N Paws Zoo
  • Children's Crafts & Playdates
  • Scrapbooking Club
  • Trips to Land of Make Believe
  • Pot Luck Lunches
  • Mini Golf (for Kids)
  • Bronx Zoo Trip
  • Clubwide Holiday Parties
  • Swimming at Local Lakes & State Parks
  • Holiday Specific Crafts and Activities
  • MOMS Night Out (once a month), movies, dinners out, pottery, aerobics class, game night, wine tasting, spa night, etc.
 Community Service Projects

As our Chapter grows, one of the other aspects of our club will be to provide assistance within our local and global community through our service projects. Some rewarding projects other MOMS Club Chapters have been involved with include:
  • Collecting shoes for the "Share Your Soles" Foundation
  • Donating household items for local Youth Shelters
  • Donating service time and gifts to needy families through local organizations
  • Collecting card fronts for St. Jude's Children's Ranch
  • Donating emergency items to the Red Cross
  • Collecting stuffed animals for the local Fire and First Aid Squads
  • Participating in Box Tops for Education and Campbell Soup Label Programs
  • Donations made to the Mother-to-Mother Fund
  • Collecting items to donate to U.S. Soldiers serving in Iraq
  • Visiting local animal shelters and donating supplies for care of animals and facility
