The MOPPETS program is designed to nurture, teach, and allow social interaction with other young children while Moms get "grown-up" time!

A safe, caring environment is important for kids and their parents and the MOPPETS program strives to reflect that need. Each meeting will allow for play time, a story and craft, a snack, and other entertainments. Children are divided into age groups: 6 months-3 years & 3-5 years. Classrooms are located down the hall from the MOPS meeting area. If a child becomes overly distressed, a childcare worker will let you know.

This is a great opportunity for socialization, as well as learning in a structured environment, prepping them for pre-school or kindergarden.

Sick Children Guidelines

Please do not bring a child to MOPS who:

  • has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher within the last 24 hours
  • has vomited or has had diarrhea within the last 24 hours
  • has a runny nose with green or yellow mucous
  • has been exposed to a contagious disease (chicken pox, head lice, pink eye, etc.)

Please secure a note from your child's doctor if he/she has a chronic condition such as allergic rhinitis, which is not contagious but may resemble a cold or infection. If your child is being treated for an infection, he/she should be on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to MOPPETS.

No medication of any kind will be administered by a caregiver. If your child needs a medication, it must be kept and administered when needed by the mom. Please keep in mind that bringing your sick child to a MOPS meeting may jeopardize the health of others and put your child at risk of developing additional symptoms.

Remember the Golden Rule of "Sick Day Decisions." If another child had the same symptoms, would you be glad to have him/her sitting next to your child?
