Welcome to MOPS Zone 14D, Council Coordinator Maria Malkin
MOPS International exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
Hello Steering Team Leaders,
This website is a place for Leaders of MOPS groups in the Greater Pittsburgh Area Council. There are currently 22 groups including 2 brand new groups in the Council. Please welcome the new groups & ask how you can help them start their adventure in MOPS. (More information is listed below)
On your left you will see a section titled "Members List"where you can click on each Coordinators name to send them an email. You can also click on the Zone 14D Council Map under the "Links Section" which will take you to a map of our Council.
As a Steering Leader myself, I know how much work & emotion is involved in trying to create the best experience we possibly can for the moms that attend our meetings. By the end of the year we may feel exhausted & even confused about the impact & purpose we are serving as a part of this ministry.
It is my hope that we can share ideas & concerns with one another in person & on this site in such a way that allows our groups to feel a sense of community & connectedness that binds us together, lifts us up & leaves us feeling re-energized.
On the left are tabs that are filled with ideas & information you can modify & use with your own group. If you have any ideas or maybe something your moms just loved, please email it to me so I can share it with the rest of our Council.

As you climb aboard the rollercoaster of planning for the upcoming year, don’t forget to relax and rest in God’s love & promises. “Put God in charge of your work, then what you've planned will take place.” (Proverbs 16:3, The Message) Sit back & enjoy the ride!

ZONE 14 Greater Pittsburgh Area Council Meeting
Thursday Septemer 11th 10a.m. to 1p.m.
Please join me for a fun & informational event.
Childcare is available but is limited so please email me ASAP if you are attending & will need childcare.(childcare is $2.00 per child with a family max of $5.00)
Food & refreshments will be provided for $2.00 (please see the attached flier for more details)
Please bring your top 3 favorite crafts to share with the Council. As well as any ideas you will be using with this years theme: Adventures in Mothering.

MOPS International Convention 2008 October 2-4 2008

As we climb aboard the rollercoaster into the next year of MOPS I look forward to getting to know you all! Please join me at the Convention October 2nd through the 4th at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other women working toward the same goals as you & share ideas.

Linway United Presbyterian Church in North Versailles is also starting a new group!! Teri Ritz is heading up this new group with the help of Linways' Family Ministries Leader Ben Robbins. MOPS at Trinity United Methodist Church in Brackenridge is in desparate need of MOPPETS workers. They meet the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9:15-11:30
Perhaps some moms from your group would be willing to care for their MOPPETS & in turn some moms from Trinity can help your group with MOPPETS. Please contact Sherri Smith via email on the left.
