Region II 2010 Symposium

Final arrangements and prices have been set for our 2010 Symposium in Gettysburg, Pa. at the Eisenhower Hotel. The dates are March 23 and 24. We will begin at noon with a luncheon buffet followed by seven seminars in four rooms of about two hours each. Save for the Service Officer’s seminar which will be four hours. We will then have a dinner buffet followed by four more seminars; one in each of the four rooms. On the 24th we will have a buffet breakfast followed by seven more sessions in four rooms of about two hours each save for the Service Officer’s seminar. During the luncheon buffet I will introduce each of the 10 instructors and our vendors who will help sponsor the event. During the dinner buffet each of the candidates who have announces for national office and for Region ll Vice President, who choose to attend, will give a brief talk. At noon on the 24th I will hold a brief meeting with Region ll federation presidents.
Hotel costs will be $78 plus Pennsylvania tax for one and $88 plus tax for two. This price is good for the nights of the 22nd, the 23rd and the 24th. You must register by February 22 to obtain these prices. The registration fee will be $65 which includes all three meals and up to five seminars. Since breakfast was poorly attended last year the charge for the Symposium minus breakfast will be $55. I have raised the price $5 from last year because of an increase in food prices plus the hotel is charging a $200 set up fee for our four rooms. Also remember that the cost of living was up 5.8% last year.
