MARY A. SHAUB MHS
PRESIDENT
Mary A. Shaub MHS earned her Masters of Health Policy and Management from The Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health in 1989. She concentrated her academic efforts in refining management skills and understanding the impact health policy had in the health care delivery system. Her internship was spent at Prudential insurance in the managed medical unit uncovering the complexities of managed care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1979 from Millersville University. In the eight years between academic pursuits, she worked in the public health field as an advocate for the mentally and physically disabled. This combination of vocational and academic experience, spanning over 20 years, has allowed her successes in the operation and finance areas of health care. She understands clinical, operational and financial issues. She is currently the President of Shaub Medical Consulting, a firm specializing in health care advocacy for the employer, the consumer and the provider. Her firm’s philosophy is to empower providers and consumers so as to effectively actualize an environment wherein the clinician can concentrate on delivering quality health care. While working in the financial area in health care she accomplished the successes indicated below for the providers.
Mary Shaub is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Delaware Medical Group Management Association, Greater Philadelphia Health Assembly (GPHA), American College of Healthcare Executives, Public Health Section of the Philadelphia College of Physicians, the National Association of Business Women Owners, Midlantic Business Alliance, The Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene’s Alumni Association and the Millersville University Alumni Association.
