St. Katharine Drexel Food Cupboard and Clothing Closet
Located at 1408 West 2nd Street, in Chester, Pa. is a minstry and mission for the needy families, elders, or shut-ins in our town, some 365 families come here for help. Sr. Barbara Ann Tickner is the Coordinator, of this facility, which is open bi-weekly for distribution, there are volunteers who work through out the week, and are truly irreplacible in their devotion to helping others. Canned goods, and un-refriderated items need to stock our shelves are listed below, supermarket gift cards, or donations, along with a list of clothing needed for people of all ages. The Center is open Monday to Friday from 9:15 until 3:00pm every day, for donations, or to volunteer..... Feel free to call 610-872-5096 with any questions. Please make a difference, every donation is needed. THE FOOD CUPBOARD IS RUN SOLELY ON THE GOODNESS AND GENEROSITY OF PEOPLE WHO ARE KIND ENOUGH TO DONATE TIME, FOOD, CLOTHING, AND BY WORD OF MOUTH. THE CUPBOARD NEEDS TO KEEP ITS SHELVES STOCKED IN ORDER TO HELP THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED. THIS CENTER IS OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND, AND OPENS ITS DOORS BI-WEEKLY, DONATIONS ARE NEEDED ALL YEAR ROUND. In hopes of bringing MAJOR DONATIONS bins will be located all throught Chester, and neighboring towns and business", in order to make drop off easier for those with a busy schedule. Please Donate, fill a bag of items or purchase a case of canned goods, or items that are non-perishable. THE FOOD CUPBOARD is in need, the shelves here need to be fully stocked in order to help the needy in our town. Breakfast items, Canned Meats, Canned Fruits, and Vegetables, any donations are greatly welcome.
