Woodland Owners of Clarion - Allegheny Valley
Our Mission is to promote forest stewardship through educational programs, demonstrations and the sharing of our collective experiences with other members of the association.
The WOCAV is a forum to exchange information about practical application of Best Management Practices, using the experiences of its members, as well as the DCNR Bureau of Forestry, Penn State Extension, Clarion County Forest Stewardship Committee and local forest professionals.
The collective sharing of practical first hand experiences will enable members to establish goals and confidently manage their woodlot to meet their objectives.
The benefits of sustainable forestry practices gained and applied now will guarantee environmentally healthy and beautiful forests for our use, enjoyment and that of future generations.
Private landowners own approximately 12 million acres of forested land in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
More than 90,000 fammilies or individuals own 5 acres or more of forested land.
Collectively all these landowners manage over 70 percent of the forest resources that make up Pennsylvania.
If you are among those that own forested land, you probably have many questions concerning its health or value and even long term sustainability.
WOCAV will assist you in finding the answers.

Be a Part of Better Forest Management
The Woodland Owners of Clarion - Allegheny Valley was formed by the Clarion County Forest Stewardship Committee to foster sound forestry practices that will promote sustainable forests in the counties we serve now and in the future.
We provide workshops, demonstrations and a forum for woodland owners and other interested parties to share ideas and experiences in an informal setting.
We work with other woodland owner associations, DCNR Bureau of Forestry, Penn State Extension and similar organizations that promote forest stewardship throughout Pennsylvania.
