Beginning this spring we will be training new volunteers to be well hunters.


Training sessions will include the following topics:

Using a compass to walk a straight line.
Using a GPS to identify a spot's latitude and longitude.
Using a GPS to record and save a track for later transfer to a computer map.
Identifying different types of wells.
Using a digital camera to take pictures of a well site.
Procedures for documenting a well site.
Procedures for marking a site.


The first training session will be held at the Oil Creek State Park office and Egbert pavillion area.
