******************************************* The kids did a great job Monday against Northampton! I have a few points I wanted to write below…
I wanted to remind everyone that our clothing order has been extended to this Friday July 3rd. I have the form downloadable from this site.
Also, if we could let the kids know to stay in the pool until all swimmers are done with the race. It also seems customary to shake the hand of the competitors on either side of you. I am not sure if this is a universal tradition but I notice the older and accomplished swimmers doing this and I think it is a nice show of sportsmanship. We may not be the best team yet but we can be the classiest.
Our team Party is July 23rd. I will keep the site up to date with details but for now we are asking for any food donations we can get… pretzels, chips, cookies, snacks of any kind. It might also be good to have a nice selection of healthier food (apple slices, nuts, carrots, etc.). This will simply be for the party that night. It is always a fun time and a good way to recognize the team and their efforts over the summer season. Feel free to email me with what you can bring. If everyone brings something we can have a great party with tons of goodies!!!
Again, everyone did great. I appreciate all of the parent’s efforts in getting the kids there and being receptive to our ideas, donation requests, volunteering, etc. We have a nice mix of serious swimmers and youngsters who seem to have found a sport that really fits.

Our Outdoor Practices start June 16th at Parkview (Hokey) Pool. Our morning practices are scheduled for M, T, TH and F. The times are:

Directions from Route 145
Head north past U-Haul (or south using jug handle after Municipal Drive) to Lehigh Street. Head east past new IRT bridge, and continue to brown Whitehall Recreation sign at Third St. Turn left onto Third Street and continue two stops signs to School Street. Turn left, continue through one stop sign and around bend to Parkview Drive. Park sign is on your left - continue into parking lot.
