Welcome to the Ashaway Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization
Our meetings for this year will be held on a Monday evening each month at 6:00 pm in the Ashaway Elementary School Library. Please check the calendar for exact dates. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend any of our meetings. One of the PTO focuses this year will be on getting additional volunteers in the school and at our PTO functions/events. We have the philosophy that many hands make light work. If each parent in our school volunteered just a couple of hours, even once during the year, we as a parent group can do some wonderful things for our school and for our children. We encourage everyone to be a part of our organization and to be involved with our children’s education. New faces and ideas are ALWAYS welcome!! There are many ways to get involved, even if you are unable to attend one of our meetings. If you would like to volunteer or would like additional information about the PTO please feel free to contact the PTO President, Amy Jenkins.

Father Daughter Dance, February 12th
The Father-Daughter Dance will be held on Friday, February 12th this year from 6-9pm in the school gymnasium. To view the invitation send home, click here.This year, in an effort to do our part in recycling, the PTO will be having its first Dress Swap. We are collecting gently worn party dresses that your children have outgrown. The idea is to recycle these dresses and pass them along to another girl who would be able to use it. If you would like to donate to this event, please drop off your laundered dress(es) during school hours, or call the school to make other arrangements. On January 25th, during our ice cream social/book fair from 6-8pm, these dresses will be available to girls that plan on attending the dance. One dress will be offered per girl. Please note that a donation is NOT necessary in order to receive a dress. All dresses will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.
Spring Bulbs & Crumb Cake Fundraiser, February 8-24th
Our spring fundraiser starts on Monday, February 8th and continues until Wednesday, February 24th. Shopping is easy, you can fill out the order form sent home OR go to Jeannine Fund Raisers and place your order online. Be sure to enter our school name and the students name for us to receive credit for the order.URI Women's Basketball Night, February 27th
Tickets will available for the URI Women's Basketball game on February 27th at a significantly rate. Details coming soon...
Family Dinner Night, March 25th
Another family dinner night is planned for March 25th at Lucky House restaurant. Details coming soon.....
Family Sock-Hop Dance, April 9th
This year the family dance will be held on April 9th and the theme will be a 50's Sock Hop! So, save the date for a night of family fun. More details coming soon...
