Welcome to the Rhode Island Pet Bird Club Website!

The Rhode Island Pet Bird Club was formed in October 1994 by two friends who owned birds who were looking for other people who owned and loved birds to share their experiences and stories of life with birds. RIPBC is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting avian education, research and enjoyment. A membership to RIPBC includes monthly meetings featuring guest speakers such as Avian Veterinarians and Bird Behaviorists; a subscription to our monthly newsletter, Squawk Talk; our Annual Photo Contest; access to our full library of books and videos; activities such as Toy Making, Jungle Gym Making, Raffles, Field Trips, our Annual Christmas Party and much more. Our Bird Referral Program has helped place many birds in need of new homes.

Meetings for the RIPBC

The regular meetings of the Rhode Island Pet Bird Club are booked for 6:45pm on the first Monday of the month at the Warwick City Hall.

Directions to the Warwick City Hall

From 95 South, take exit 10A, Route 117, go through the four corners and City Hall is a block up on the left. Take a left just before the City Hall; this is a one way street to the Parking Lot, located behind the building. Go in the side entrance and down one flight of stairs. The room is on the left.

From 95 North, take exit 10, Route 117, keep to the right of the exit. Take a left just before the City Hall; this is a one way street to the Parking Lot, located behind the building. Go in the side entrance and down one flight of stairs. The room is on the left.

Directions to the West Bay Yacht Club

Get on Post Rd., Rte. 1A towards East Greenwich.

When you are in the town, look for King Street. Go to the end of King Street.

You will be at a stop sign and will see a yellow historic house (EG Historical Society I think) in front of you. Go left at the stop sign.

Follow the road past a marina. This road is very dark and kind of tricky. After you pass the marina, you will come to a bunch of boats being stored in a parking lot, pretty much right in front of you.

The road bears a slight left past these boats and then will bring you into the Yacht Club parking lot. Again, it is a very dark road. Once in the parking lot, you will see a small bar/restaurant that belongs to the Yacht Club and then the next building is where we will be meeting. If anyone needs help, call Michele on her cell, 578-5857.
