Scripture of the Month ...
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:6-8 (KJV)
To Think About:
Oftentimes God demonstrates His faithfulness in adversity by providing for us what we need to survive.
He does not change our painful circumstances.
He sustains us through them.

WHERE CHANGE TAKES PLACE, FROM THE INSIDE OUT!
From the Pastor's Desk:
"Don't Be Frazzled"
    "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things but one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her." (Luke 10;41)
We live in a high-strung, fast paced, impatient arena. If you are not mindful of who you are, what you are called to do, and how you are to do it, you will find yourself getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. If you are not careful you will miss the very thing that gives life purpose and meaning. You will find yourself hurrying when there is no need to hurry. You will be wound up and unable to wind down. According to medical reports this fast paced age has produced more illnesses and problems than previous generations. Impatience, mind over-load, hurry and worry is known as stress. Stress undermines the immune system and increases susceptibility to infections, heart disease, hypertension and cancer. Less serious conditions that are known to be stress related are headaches, heartburn, insomnia, hairloss, etc.. It effects you physically, emotionally and spiritually. Stress will cause you to be anxiouis and ill tempered. It can be caused by: anger, unforgiveness, frustrations, illness, finances, meeting deadlines, family problems, etc.. Christians can be frazzled working FOR God rather than allowing God to work THROUGH them.
They find themselves on a roller coaster or a merry go round.

Take a tip from Mary. She knew how to handle the cares of the world
- Take time to worship. No, you don't have to go to church to worship. To clarify: We must have corporate worship at church ("not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25 NKJV), but WORSHIP MUST BEGIN AT HOME. Worship means assigning God "worth", putting Him first, recognizing Him for who He is.
Take time to meditate and pray.
Take time to read God's Word.
Allow God to direct your path and set the pace for each day. Sitting at the feet of Jesus implies an attitude of submission and trust. It signifies devotion and communion. It is more important to be occupied WITH Christ then being occupied FOR Christ, or being preoccupied with the things of this world.

Over eating, lack of exercise, and poor sleeping habits are often caused by too little time and too much stress. According to medical research, anxiety kills brain cells and excercise creates brain cells. Exercise also produces Endocannabinoid (feeling of contentment), Serotonin (confident feeling; purposeful) and Endorphines (pain killer molecule)
Why not trust God? "Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you." (I Peter 5:7) Prioritize your workload, exercise, eat right and get enough sleep, never forgetting "the good part". Always take time to sit at the feet of Jesus. He will shape you spiritually, emotionally and physically.

"Take therefore no (anxious) thoughts for the morrow" (Matthew 6:34 KJV)
Remember the following:
- Concentrate on things that are calming. (Philippians 6:38)
Commit everything to God. (Psalm 62:8)
Comfort yourself in the Lord. (Romans 8:28)
Conquer each battle with prayer and praise. (Psalm 34:1)
You may not stop the battle but you can win the war!

Begin the Day With God Begin the day with God,
Kneel down to Him in prayer;
Lift up your heart to His abode,
And seek His love to share.
Open the Book of God,
And read a portion there;
That it may hallow all your thoughts
And sweeten all your care.
Go through the day with God,
Whatever you may do;
Where'er you are - at home, abroad -
He still is near to you.
Converse in mind with God,
Your spirit heavenward raise;
Acknowledge every good bestowed,
And offer grateful praise.
