 The Devil Dogs' Manual Of Arms
We have adopted a 2 mile section of S.C. Rte.9 East (Multi-Laned). Our section runs from Orr's Road (Old Location) to Morningside Circle. This stretch of road is the main entrance way to Chester from Interstate I-77.
Please Do Not Liter.
Detachment 1161 members will attend the SC Department Quarterly meeting on 17 January at 1000 in Columbia at VFW Post 6.
Detachment members will pickup trash on 31 January along our adopted section of SC Rte. 9.
On 14 February at 0800, Chester County Devil Dogs will be at the Chester Wal-Mart to take donations for our various charities and to recruit new and past members.
The Detachment will present its annual Marine Corps League Leadership award to a deserving JROTC Cadet from Great Falls on 14 March at 1730. Call Charlton Blanks (803-581-4312) for more information.

Detachment 1161 will install new Officers at our regular meeting on 7 April. Dress is Red Blazer.
Detachment 1161 members will attend the SC Department Quarterly meeting on 18 April at 1000 in Columbia at the SC State Guard building.
On 16 May, Detachment 1161 will have a picnic at the Main Shelter in the Chester State Park, $2.00 per person.
The Devil Dogs will have a Booth at the annual Flopeye Fish Festival (23 May) in Great Falls, SC.
Our annual Memorial Day service will be held on Monday 25 May at 1200 hours in front of the Chester War Memoral building.
13 June, Chester Wal-Mart from 0800 to 1600 for donation and membership drive.
20 June, Yard Sale at State Farm parking lot - 0700 to 1400.
26 September, Yard Sale at First Baptist Church parking lot on Lancaster Street - 0700 to 1400.
Detachment 1161 will be at Rock Around the Clock (3 October) in Winnsboro, SC.
The Chester County Devil Dogs will be on the Hill for HILLarity (17 October) in downtown Chester.
234th Marine Corps Birthday Ball, Chester War Memorial Building on 14 November at 1900.
Chester County Devil Dog members will participate in Chester's Annual Veterans Day service on 11 November at 1100 in the War Memorial building. Dress is "Red Blazer".
19 November from 0800 to 1600 at Chester Wal-Mart for Toys for Tots.
All members are encouraged to attend as many Detachment events as possible.
