Welcome VISN 7 Coastal NOVA Nurses

The intention of this site is to provide information for nurses; specifically nurses involved in VISN 7's coastal region NOVA {Nurse Organization of Veterans Affairs}. We strive to provide the latest information regarding our local NOVA chapter, opportunities for CEU's, pertinant legislation, and the latest evidence based research. Our ultimate goal is to improve communication among nurses; motivating and enabling VA nurses {and others} to deliver the highest quality nursing care possible.

Healthy Work Environments- we all need to be aware of these.

These are the six essential standards for establishing and sustaining healthy work environments, the attached file goes into great detail about the how and why of these standards: * Skilled Communication * True Collaboration * Effective Decision Making * Appropriate Staffing * Meaningful Recognition * Authentic Leadership

Thanks for giving....!

During the month of August 2009 The Charleston Chapter of NOVA and other generous souls within the VA donated 50 lbs worth of daily necessities, such as gum, books, snack etc. These items were mailed to a local troop serving in Afghanistan. Thanks for all who supported our First Annual Giving Back Event. Maureen
