Announcement of EEIC Closing Down I am not sure if you have heard, but OUR EPWORTH EARLY INTERVENTION CENTER is in TROUBLE....Due to budget cuts with the Epworth Campus and its school, the EEIC is now affected...If we do not start raising money by public sponsorship and donations, then the preschool, where Sam, Eli, Noah, Peyton, Kate, Matthew, Maelyn, Joseph, Patrick, Thomas, Ava, Hannah, Adia, Jalen, Victoria, James, John, James, Cooper and so many other EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN ATTEND and ATTENDED in the past 28 YEARS, is expected to close down. The budget calls for well over $113,000 a year...As you know, the student's tuition at the EEIC does not even over the costs of snacks and art supplies in a month, so............................. How do Kay, Miss Tammy, Miss Marty, Miss Sandy, Margaret, Katie get paid for teaching only 9 to 10 children a day? (can't beat THAT ratio) How do we run the building? Where do the chairs, tables, shelving, toys, and therapy equipment come from?

Fundraising Ideas
A committee is getting together a fundraiser to be held in the summer! We are learning toward a beach type cookout / band party (to keep tickets prices low) so that we can get donations for a BAND, FOOD, AND DRINKS, so if you have any ideas for venders, sponsorship, etc...PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP....We need a committee to get together to start planning so that this will be a successful event! Start asking your work, friends, churches, etc for donations and help to make this event a success! We are looking at August or September, since April is Autism Awareness Month and October is the Buddy Walk...If any of you know of a good venue, preferable in downtown Columbia and FREE OF CHARGE, please let me know.
 About the EEIC
