Asalamalaikum Warahmantuallh Warabarakaitu! Welcome to our website.This site is about the Florence Muslim Center ,in Florence S.C. The Florence Muslim Center has gone by other names in the past, such as:Masjid Muhammad,or Florence Masjid. As Muslims we recognize a Masjid must be built a Masjid from the ground up,hence the new name. This Center is lead by James Raoof Muhammad,who serves as Imam.All the brothes here take turns being the mu'eddiin, ast. Imam,and giving Khutbahs(sermons).Local notables such as:Bro.Abdul Malik ;of Darlington S.C , Akheel Muhammad;of KingsTree S.C.,and even two brothers from the F.M.S.M association(Florence Muslims of the Sunnah of Muhammad) Abdul Hakeem Thomas,& myself, Muhammad Sharief ibn Hayes;both of Florence. This Masjid is under the association of Imam Warrith Deen Mohammad,but we don't put up any barriers in Allah's house for any Muslim,their are members who are and aren't under this association.Basically we are humble servants of Allah who try to live our lives like our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him and his household). So ,inshallah if you are in The Florence S.C. area and your looking for a place to fellowship with the belivers ,please stop by The Florence Muslim Center,if you can't make it here then there is another center at 1218 West Evans St.(Islamic Center of Florence).May Allah Bless us to praise him together-ameen
