With the approval of our Board, at the monthly July meeting, and a vote on July 19th by members attending the monthly coffee, we have welcomed Pendleton Place as our Charity for the coming year.

Since its founding in 1975, Pendleton Place Children’s Shelter has been filling an important need in the community by providing a safe, warm place for children and youth who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, abandonment, or the incarceration of their parents or guardians.

Children come to Pendleton Place at all hours of the day and night, 365 days a year, and stay as long as it takes to find the right placement. They are often hungry, dirty, sick, or have injuries that require medical treatment. More than a roof over their heads, Pendleton Place provides the structure support and professional guidance these children desperately need to begin the healing process.

As you participate in our fund raisers this coming year, your support will contribute to our clubs ability to help Pendleton Place provide care to children in our new community whose lives have been changed due to no fault of their own. Volunteer opportunities are available at this facility as well. Your contributions of requested items will fill needs that Pendleton Place has,. This is a wonderful opportunity for each of us to find a way to fulfill our organizations role of social responsibility in our new community.
