National President's Community Focus: Partners in Literacy National President Linda Santiso announced NAIW's new community focus: Partners in Literacy. President Santiso announced, "Literacy was selected as the national focus for the association, because it supports who we are. Our organization was formed with the purpose of education and improving industry relations. What better way to support the purpose of this organization than to encourage others to learn to read? The famous Roman Philosopher Cicero wrote "Read at every wait; read at all hours; read within leisure; read in times of labor; read as one goes in; read as one goes out. The test of the educated mind is simply put: Read to Lead." President Santiso encourages all members to join us as we take the lead in promoting literacy within our communities by partnering with local organizations and libraries in support of this endeavor. More information regarding Partners for Literacy will be posted to NAIW website and included in NAIW Now.
