The MEMBER
You, the member, are the most important person in this organization. Thus, you are represented by the top most part of the pyramid. Everything else is here to support you. You are the "I" of the pyramid.

The CLUB
Members work together to insure that you are able to achieve whatever goals you seek within the structure of Toastmasters. Whether you seek educational advancement, or the leadership track, or both, the club is here to support you in your efforts. Our Club, Millennium Toastmasters, is Club #2964.

The AREA
Skilled Toastmasters are chosen to coordinate the efforts of the various clubs within an Area. The Area Governor is the main link between the Club and the District, providing two-way communications to and from the District. The Area Governor is responsible for the Semi-Annual Area Speech Contests. This person usually visits each club at least twice per Toastmaster year, to observe meetings and offer suggestions and coaching to make sure the needs of the members are being met by following the Toastmasters Communications and Leadership Program. The Area Governor is part of the District Council. Our Club is in Area 34

The DIVISION
Several Areas are organized into Divisions. The Division Governor oversees the efforts of the various Area Governors. The Division Governor coordinates the Division Speech Contests and provides guidance for the Area Governors. This person is also a member of the District Council. Our Club is part of Division C.

The DISTRICT
Divisions are combined to form Districts. Our District, District 58, comprises all of the State of South Carolina. The District Council meets several times throughout the year, at a specified place, to guide the success of the individual Clubs, Areas, and Divisions. Twice each year the District Council conducts a Leadership Training Institute to train the Club Officers. There are two District Conferences during the year, usually in the Fall and Spring. These provide additional training and educational opportunities, as well as conduct the District Speech Contests. The Fall Contests are the Humorous Speech Contest and the Speech Evaluation Contest. The Spring Contests are the Table Topics Speech Contest and the International Speech Contest.

The REGION
Several Districts are grouped into Regions. Our Region is Region VIII, covering most of the Southeast US from Virginia to Florida and Texas to the Bahamas.

INTERNATIONAL
The overall support and guidance of the structure of Toastmasters comes from Toastmasters International. They provide the manuals that guide our leadership roles within the organization, and the Communications and Leadership Manuals by which we conduct our speech projects. Through 75 years of growth, Toastmasters International has honed a process that has proven the tests of time and that, to this day, provides one of the most successful Speaking Skills and Leadership development programs in the world. All of this to support the goals of the customer, YOU, the individual Toastmaster member.
