The Millennium Toastmasters Club #2964 completed its last goal, on Wednesday, to achieve 9 out of 10 goals to earn President's Distinguished Status!!! Teaqoshawn Nelson completed her last speech toward the completion of her CC, which was the educational goal needed to secure the wonderful distinguished honor.

Highlights of the year, Just to name a few:

1. Jamie Henderson & Teaqoshawn earned their CCs
2. Vikki earned her CL, ALB & ACB during the 2010-2011 term (3 educational awards; great opportunity to collect a Golden Link award)
3. Robert Baukman earned his CL & his ACS
4. More members...more members...more members (LOL) 12 new or reinstated members joined the club (24 members to date)
5. Angela was elected as the incoming Division D Governor
6. Robert and Vikki accepted Area Governor appointments
7. Kim accepted District Secretary appointment
8. Jamie accepted District SAA appointment
9. Angela's club, the Achievers, which she was assigned as the Club Coach, earned President's Distinguished status 10 out of 10 goals)

    What an exciting contest we had today!!! There was FUN, LAUGHTER & most of all EXCITEMENT!!! We had a great contest and some great contestants. Thank you to all that participated and to each and every person that played a role in making this club event - eventful.     Our next fellow Millennium Toastmaster, Robert Baukman wanted to redeem himself, his words, from past bumps as a contestant in the Evaluation contest. Robert was on fire, tie and all, and redemption was his middle name. Robert won 2nd place in the Area 34 Evaluation Contest. He evaluated Vikki, who was our target speaker, and provided her with some very good constructive feedback.
    Our next fellow Toastmaster, Vikki Perry was the target speaker for today's Area 34 Evaluation Contest. Way to go Vikki!!!

    • Angela lead a lunch and learn event featuring Betty Parker. Betty Parker is a past Area 34 governor. She gave a speech about the importance of good communication skills. She shared the message of good communication skills can increase your life long earning potential by $500,000.00.

    • Angela Geiger presented her 10th prepared speech to earn her first competent communicator award(CC). Project #10 from the Communication and Leadership Program manual is "Inspire Your Audience". It was a speech about her aunt who had sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis (sar-koy-DO-sis) is a disease of unknown cause that leads to inflammation which affect various organs in the body.
    • Joyce Gladney completed her second speech from the competent communicator manual. The speech was titled, "The $4.00 Seduction." Project #2 from the Communication and Leadership Program manual is "Organize Your Speech".

    • Bernie Ott won the Area 34 Humorous speech contest. He will represent Area 34 in the Division C Humorous speech contest on Saturday, September 12, 2009. Bernie Ott did the "Bad Hare Days" speech.
    • Robert Baukman competed in the Area 34 speech evaluation contest. He was disqualified.
