History of the Moncks Corner Chapter: The Moncks Corner Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) formerly known as Professional Secretaries International (PSI) was charted in February, 1980 with 12 members. Of the original charter, Vera Frazier and Mildred Broughton are still members. The group was sponsored by Charleston Chapter and its president, Lee James. Then International President, Ina Simpson of Columbia, SC installed the Chapter. Sadie Alston was the first president. Over the years, individual members and the chapter as a whole have served the division in various capacities. In March 2005, the chapter celebrated its 25th Anniversary. While membership has varied over the years, the chapter continues to be an interest part of the community. We are committed to our personal and professional development and we exhibit the pride and professionalism that the Moncks Corner Chapter has become known for.
