DERBY CAR ASSEMBLY RULES

MATERIALS...

All cars must be constructed from the "Official Grand Prix Pinewood Derby Kit".

CAR SPECIFICATIONS...
1. WEIGHT - Not over 5-ounces as determined on the official Derby Scale.
2. WIDTH - No wider than 2-3/4 inches
3. LENGTH - No longer than 7-inches.
4. WIDTH BETWEEN WHEELS - At least 1-3/4 inches (inside wheel to wheel).
5. BOTTOM CLEARANCE BETWEEN CAR AND TRACK - At least 3/8 inches.

ASSEMBLY RULES...
1. Only the wheels & axles from the "Official Grand Prix Pinewood Derby Kit" are permitted.
2. Wheel Bearings, Washers and Bushings are NOT ALLOWED.
3. The car shall NOT ride on springs.
4. Only DRY Lubricant is permitted.
5. Details such as steering wheel & driver are permitted as long as these details do not exceed the maximum lenght, width or weight specifications.
6. The car must be free-wheeling with NO starting devices.

BE CREATIVE! Cars will be judged on unique appearances as well as how fast they can run...so have fun with it!
