Thank you for visiting our website. The Carolina Forest High School PTSO is a Parent, Teacher, Student Organization whose sole purpose is to make our school a better place to be. To join the PTSO, all you have to do is fill out an information sheet. There is no charge to join our PTSO organization. We rely strictly on private donations and Brick sales to underwrite our events and activities. We are currently a group of just over 500 parents, who are dedicated to improving the quality of education for our children by enhancing their educational experience.
Hello, my name is Mona Sarajian. Our PTSO group this year is the most energetic and enthusiastic group that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Every year it seems our numbers grow, and this year is no exception. We are now a group of over 500 parents, with over 1,900 students and 150 faculty and staff, we are a huge group. Our Board this year is made up of 4 hard-working mothers, who are completely committed to our children, our school and our PTSO! Charmaine Keats, is our Vice President, Cherie Ruska, our Secretary, and Andrea Bettke is Treasurer. We are looking forward to a great year together, and have many exciting events and activities in the works that we will need lots of help with. We have committee positions available currently, and would welcome your help. Without the help and support of our parents, we could not accomplish any of the activities that we perform during the school year. All in an effort to make Carolina Forest High School an even better place to be.
We have a very unique way of getting in touch with our membership. It is through our mass email program. We are so fortunate to have this capablility at our disposal, and it has proven very effective in obtaining volunteers for the different activities that we have been involved with.

The Volunteer form is a form that the school requires any volunteer to fill out before volunteering. This is not new, but this year has become manditory. Please fill out this form, and either mail it in or send it in to the attention of Dawn Beaty in the front office.
The Carolina Forest High School Calendar. This calendar has all the activities and events that are scheduled for the upcoming weeks. I know that sometimes as high school parents, we feel left out of the loop, and this calendar really will help you stay informed.
The Carolina Forest High School website is also a very useful tool. It has a wealth of information at your fingertips regarding all the activities going on at the school, as well as contact information on all the facultly and staff.
The Horry County District Website has important information regarding the entire Horry County School District. It has websites for all the schools and contact information for all the faculty and staff of all the schools in the county and all the contact information for all the District staff as well.
The S.M.A.R.T. system is an online reporting system designed to offer parents/guardians of students in the Horry County Schools real-time* access to student information. This site currently offers student reports at the middle and high school level for attendance, report card grades, class schedule.
Parents with children at the elementary level can access information about attendance, PLP's, and discipline referrals. Features to be added to S.M.A.R.T. include reports on standardized tests (PALs, Numeracy, DRA and PACT).
