The South Carolina Queens Council (SCQC) was formed on June 11, 2005, to create a forum for official Red Hat Society Queens and Vice Queens or their representatives to share ideas of places to go and fun things to do with their individual chapters. From the SCQC, regions were established to have smaller, local groups get together and share their ideas. Historic Charleston, Region 2, consists of official chapters in Charleston and Dorchester Counties.
The Regional Coordinator for Historic Charleston is Jeanne White. Jeanne was crowned Queen of her own chapter, Purplelicious Southern Divas, on August 4, 2007. Her Royal Title: Queen of Glitz 'N Glam, of course, because she’s truly a Queen who loves to dress in full red hat regalia with the most beautiful red and purple hats.
