What's going on???
The best way to keep up with what's going on in the SCDA is to visit our web site or e-mail me any questions or information you may have. While we are in the formative stages of the organization we will update the site from time to time as needed.

The South Carolina Dart Challenge  The South Carolina Dart Challenge was started in 2005 by Brian Bemis and Steve Kelley and is played twice yearly between darters from the Greenville and Columbia, SC areas.

On Saturday, April 1st 2006 the VFW Post 10330 in Greenville hosted the event which was won by the "hometown" darters 22-12. The win raised Greenville's record to 3-0 in the series in this format which includes singles and doubles play for men and women.

The fourth installment of this event will be hosted by the Columbia team and is scheduled for Saturday September 16.

This is a great event promoting darts in both cities and if anyone in these areas would like to participate in future matches please contact Brian or Steve, or send me a e-mail and I'll get the word to them.

Think of it........a S.C.State Dart Championship

It may be nothing more than a pipe dream now, but the idea of having a state championship has merit. Several of our neighboring states already have such events in place. Granted, logistics would have to be worked out and cooperation among the founding members would be essential for the success of such an event.I can see it becoming a significant yearly event that would be great for players of all skill levels. If the event was managed properly it could even generate money. That is what I see when I think of it......Chuck Hudson
