Attendance Reminders: 
  • School starts at 8:00, so please try to have your students at school by 7:50.
  • If the green sign is in front of the school when you drop your child off, then you will need to come into the office to sign in your child.
  • In the event that your child needs to be absent, please send in a written excuse when he/she returns to class.
 
Transportation Notes:
  • All transportation changes must be made by sending in a note.
  • We are not able to make ride changes over the phone.
  • When sending in bus changes, please include the address the student will be dropped off at so we can be sure to get them on the correct bus.
 AM Car Patrol:
  • Car patrol members should report to school at 7:30 so they can be at their posts at 7:35.
  • If you can't make it on a certain day, please ask another member of the patrol to take your place.
  • With the winter weather turning colder, be sure to wear a coat on days that you have AM Car Patrol.
 
Drop Off Reminders:
Please do not let your students out of the car in the morning before 7:30. There is no teacher on duty before that time, so no one will be there to supervise any students who are let out early.		 Tardy Sign In:
If the green sign is in front of the school, then your child is tardy. An adult must walk in with the student and sign them in before they can go to class.
 

About Mr. Southard:
This is my second year as Assistant Principal at Six Mile Elementary. Before being here, I taught third grade in Anderson County for 5 years. I am a graduate of Clemson University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2000 and my Master's in Administration and Supervision in 2003. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Educational Leadership at Clemson University.
