Welcome to the Palmetto State!

The Audubon Swamp Garden in South Carolina means adventure. Stroll down the paths or paddle the waterways of the Garden's 60 acres of blackwater cypress and tupelo swamp.

The Cypress Gardens have 163 acres of blackwater swamp set in the beautiful cypress forest, and they offer a profusion of fragrant azaleas and camellias in addition to a spring bulb foral display.

 
The South Carolina Museum  actually houses four museums under one roof. With exhibits on cultural history, art, science and technology, and natural history, it's perfect for everyone. After visiting make sure to stop at the Cotton Mill Exchange for that special souvenir or keepsake. Plantations abound! Enjoy the Millwood Plantation Ruins, the Magnolia Plantation, or any of the other historical plantations scattered throughout the state. The beaches are plentiful so if you just want to kick back and relax, this is the place to be!

Alligator Adventure - with rare albino American alligators, dwarf crocodiles, giant snakes, and other exotic wildlife.

The Citadel - established in 1842, this is one of the last two military state colleges in the nation.

Darlington Raceway- Site of the NASCAR TranSouth Financial 400 stock car race and the Mountain Dew Southern 500.
