Our troop is located in Travelers Rest, SC, and we are one of the largest and most active
troops in the Blue Ridge Council. Please check our calendar frequently,as we will be posting information about upcoming activities and events (along with any corresponding documents), as well as links to useful scouting information. We meet most Monday nights at 7 pm at North Greenville Christian Fellowship.
Troop 282 has also recently started a Venturing Crew. Venturing is open to boys and girls, ages 14 to 20, and its purpose is high adventure activities.

Philmont still has 98 spaces left for this summer -

Troop 282 supports brain tumor awareness.
for their efforts in raising awareness and funds in the area. The 2nd Annual Brain Tumor Vigil will
be held on Tuesday, May 13th, at the Channel Coffeehouse from 6-9 p.m. The event will
be celebrating cancer survivors, giving survivor awards, and uniting LIVESTRONG Army members.
Scouts may be eligible for the President's Volunteer Service Award for their efforts in this or other
service activities through Scouting, school, or church. Register here, where you can track
your hours, find volunteer opportunities, and honor outstanding volunteers for their service.

We were so happy to see him last time
at our Monday night meeting! If any of you are in the area,
please stop by and visit for a few minutes to check on him.
Also, please remember to keep him in your thoughts and prayers
so that he continues to do well and make a full recovery!
Burrell's Ford Backpacking Trip
We had a great time at last weekend's backpacking trip, despite the rainy weather and the vehicle problems. We are gearing up to do it again soon, so stay up to date so you don't miss out!
