As you enjoy your many blessings this summer may you also realize how you can share your blessings with others. Maybe it’s through a donation, time spent volunteering or maybe through an in-kind donation. I hope you can make plans to be involved with building house # 19 this summer. I pray that more volunteers will come forward this year. My goal is to have this family in their home before the children start school this fall. I hope we have great building weather this summer. If any individual or group would like to become involved, they can call the Habitat office at 884-0366. Groundbreaking for house #19. The Groundbreaking Ceremonies were held for Habitat House #19 on May 10th. The house is being built at 1501 5th Ave NW. This year’s partner family is Cari Outland and her three children. The Outland house will be a three bedroom house on an insulated concrete crawl space foundation.

Kevin Engel (second gray shirt from right) will be supervising the construction for the house. He is from Watertown, and owns and operates Engel Construction. If you would like to contact him, you can reach him at 881-0790. If you would like to volunteer, please call the Habitat office at 884-0366.
Hello to all of our Habitat friends and families. Spring is officially here!!
We are in the “business” of building “decent affordable homes” for families in this area. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families, not only in our state but all over the country who have lost their homes in the recent weeks, due to the weather and its many complications.
On a much lighter side- we are thrilled to be starting a build! We have a mom and three very happy children who will be a part of building their very own home! We dedicated the lot on
May 10th and look forward to the excitement of helping them build a new home. As you read this note, I hope that will find some time to help us help them in this exciting event. If you have time and /or resources of any kind-please call the office at 884-0366. We have a spot for everyone, be it building, running errands, entertaining the children, office work, you name it . . . . we will find you a spot! You have been so good to us over the years, and we ask you again, to join us! I promise that you will get more out of this experience than you could even imagine! Thank you and we look forward to seeing you!
Fundraiser Update
Habitat for Humanity had three fundraisers since the last newsletter went out. In January we had a food booth at the Santa Auction, and had a pancake feed that was held at the Knights of Columbus hall. April brought us to our 15th Annual Taste of Watertown Food Fair. We had a very good success with our fundraisers these last few months, now it is time to focus on building our new home this summer. As always we are always looking for new fundraising ideas, if you have any suggestions please call me at 884-0366. Thanks!
