Awards that have been presented to the Moving Assitance Program
2008 Make a Difference Challenge 2008
This award is presented to a volunteer group or organization that made the biggest difference during the October 25, 2008 Make a Difference day. In three days MAP was able to organize a move to assist a Grandmother supporting her 4 grandchildren from a nearly condemned mobile home to a new Habitat for Humanity House. The Argus Leader was the Sponsor of this award.
2009 Community Spirit Award
This award is presented to a non-profit organization that has made the largest impact within the Sioux Falls, SD community. The Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation was the first organization to help fund and support the Moving Assistance Program. The Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation was the sponsor of this award.
2009 Spirit of Volunteerism Youth Award
This award is presented to a MAP volunteer youth, Sarah Friedel. The award is presented to the youth who has made the biggest impact within the Sioux Falls, SD community. The HELP!Line Center was the sponsor of this award.
