MISSION STATEMENT
The Watertown Area Home Builders' Association is a non-profit organization of professionals in the building industry dedicated to improving our neighborhoods. Our mission is to promote the home building industry through education, advocacy and community involvement.
How a WAHBA membership benefits you :
- Increases business contacts that help you grow and expand your business by reaching future clients directly via meetings, the WAHBA’s membership directory, the WAHBA website, the annual WAHBA Home Show, and the new WAHBA office/meeting facility.

WAHBA 's New Information Center The WAHBA has opened a new office to help us implement our mission statement, and to better serve our members and the public. The new facility is at Hwy 212 and 6th Avenue SE, in Watertown (across from Econofoods).
A new business card holder has been installed in our vestibule to make member contact information available to the public 24/7. This is for the exclusive use of members of the WAHBA. To defray the cost of this feature, members are asked to purchase a holder for their business cards with a one-time charge of $10 for each holder needed. Each holder will hold up to 60 business cards and has a spring-loaded lid to keep your cards clean. Get your $10 fees, along with a supply of your business cards, to Bill. He will get you set up. WAHBA Makes Donation To LATI
Earlier this Fall, the membership voted to pledge $5000 over the next five years to the Lake Area Technical Institute's Excellence by Design campaign fundraising effort. The first installment of $1000 has been sent to them. Click here to read their letter of appreciation Posted 11/24/09
Residential Building Permit Numbers Up
Watertown Building Services records show that the number of new home construction building permits issued for 2009 stood at 49, compared to 36 for 2008. Residential remodel building permits issued for 2009 stood at 140, compared to 112 for 2008. Posted 01/22/09

The 2009 WAHBA Awards Banquet was held Tuesday, January 12th, at 7:00 at the Elks Lodge in Watertown. 59 people, including Watertown Mayor Gary Williams and SDHBA President Mel Zellmer were in attendance.
The WAHBA officers for 2010 were elected and sworn in by Mel Zellmer. The names and positions of the new officers are posted in the extreme left column.
