ATTENTION WAHBA MEMEBERS:
THE WAHBA OFFICE IS RELOCATING! -
We are in the process of relocating our WAHBA office. We were presented with the opportunity by our landlord to move to a space that will significantly increase our square footage, give us a great deal of additional parking space, and a utility cost lower than we are presently paying. And, we are able to do this with no increase in monthly rental cost.

There is, however, some work that needs to be done before we make the move! As asked by Frank, anyone who is willing and able to donate some material and/or labor to assist us in this project will receive our un-dying and sincere gratitude! Plans are to build out two rooms. One will be the office for the E.O., and the second one will function as a storage room for supplies and records, and yet be presentable and suitable for use as a private conference room that will be used by members wishing to use it as such. So, if you can help out, give Frank a call at 237-9165, or Vern at 520-3097.

The new office, as of October 1st, is located at 110 8th Avenue SE, directly behind Dairy Queen, just one block north of Hwy 212, and just west of Federal Express. Stop by to help out, or just view the progress!

The new office space as it appeared before any improvements were made.

Lisa DiRose, Vern Brenden and Charlie Helland painted the new space on Monday, September 19th.

On Friday, September 23rd, Frank, Mike, Charlie and Vern moved the contents from the old office space to the new office space, the carpet went in and the cabinets were installed.

WAHBA JOY RANCH VOLUNTEER PROJECT

Attention all WAHBA members! If you missed the picnic last Saturday at Joy Ranch, you missed a great time with good food, excellent weather, terrific surroundings, and even better friends! While there, we were able to tour the facilities at Joy Ranch.... what a neat place!! While much, much, much has been accomplished in the way of building projects at the facility, it was apparent that there is still more that needs to be done. They will be hosting their first big convention group at the end of October, and they would like to accomplish a few more things before then.

Your HBA has volunteered to bring a work group out there on Saturday, Oct 8th, to help with this effort. One of the more major projects involve cutting and installing rough lumber on a large wall that is being made to look like the front of a barn, complete with 'fake' doors and hay loft. Other smaller projects are things like staining mirror frames, installing mirrors, caulking, chainsawing dead trees in shelter belt, etc. We know they would sincerely appreciate our tackling some of these projects, so please join your fellow members in this community-service effort. Don't leave it to just a few volunteers..... the more volunteers we have, the quicker we can finish up and the more can be done!

Please let us know by replying to this email whether or not you are able to help out for a few hours. It will be helpful to have an idea ahead of time on how many people we can count on, so that the project(s) can be better organized.

Please..... do your part! Thank you. Posted 09/30/22
