Welcome to the Anawaha Chapter Web Page..                  We are the Anawaha chapter of the Order of the Arrow. Anawaha means sweet water. We belong to the WA-HI-NASA lodge #111. This web site is your web site. What would you like to see added or deleted?

We meet the second Thursday of every month 6:30PM, at Troop 514 Scout Hut next door to the Hilldale United Methodist Church on Madison Street.

***NEWS FLASH***

We have just been given the approval to run this coming Spring Camporee. The Chapter has a tradition in planing, organizing and running the Spring Camporee along with the callout. So it is time to start putting our plans together. We need a theme and location. So start emailing those ideas and location to us. Remember we are youth lead so you will be running the whole event.

We also have started a Facebook page for the chapter. If you would like to join us on Facebook just search for us we are listed as Anawaha Chapter.

Arrowmen  We need all of you to pay your lodge dues.

FALL ORDEAL

Fall Ordeal is fast approaching, be sure to mark your calendars. Again we need to make a good showing to do our part in supporting the event. If you are short of funds and want to attend you can volunteer to work the event as an Elangomat, plus you will get a free t-shirt. If someone in your troop was elected and did not get inducted in the spring remind them it is not to late they can still attend in the fall. So we will see you there August 13 – 15.

SPRING ORDEAL

Ordeal has came and gone. Several of our members served as Elangomats, kitchen workers or on the member’s crew. We had several that where inducted into the order. We look forward to seeing each of you at our chapter meetings. You still have a chance to obtain Brotherhood during summer camp or at Fall ordeal. To all that provided cheerful service during Ordeal weekend we want to say THANK YOU!!!! When you are at summer camp this summer be sure to go to the Wed. night cracker barrel at the lodge. Enjoy the free ice cream.

Recent News

We was asked to serve and we came through. Captain D's asked us to help collect and sort food and clothing for the flood victims in our area. We had less than 24 hours notice and a call was made to our brothers to cheerfully serve. We had a few to come and work throughout the day. It was enough food and clothing to fill two pick-up trucks. We want to thank Captain D's for feeding us throughout the day. Captain D's is hoping to do more in the next few days and we will be helping again. We will keep you informed.

Conclave

We recently returned from Conclave at our very own Boxwell Reservation. A great time was had by all. Our chapter Chief Kyle S. ran the Brotherhood Run and placed 4th out of the whole section. A renew interest in singing and drum has started along with Native American dancing. More to information at our next chapter meeting.

Representing

  WE WANT YOU!
Or have you ever wanted to sing and drum? At conclave we where able to obtain an instructional CD on singing and drumming. We want to start soon. If interested please contact Mr. Weber or Mr. Davidson. Or maybe you want to cut a rug. Would you like to try Native American dancing? Believe it or not the last dancer to compete for the lodge came from our chapter and he placed 2nd at conclave a few years back. We want to have the strongest chapter in the lodge and be able to compete within the lodge, conclave and NOAC. If you are interested and dedicated sign up and give it a try.

Eagle Projects

Are you working on your Eagle Scout project? If so, we would like to support you.

Do you Wear One of These

The Order of the Arrow Troop Representative is a youth liaison serving between the local OA lodge or chapter and his troop. In his unit, he helps meet the needs of the unit and will serve as a communication and programmatic link to and from Arrowmen, adult leaders and Scouts who are not presently members of the Order. He will do this in a fashion that strengthens the mission of the lodge, purpose of the Order and the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. By setting a good example, he will enhance the image of the Order as a service arm to his unit.

T-Shirts
Would you be interested in purchaseing a chapter t-shirt? If so do you have design in mind?

Here are some suggestions for the t-shirt design. Let us know which you like or if you have another design send it to us.

Option #1 for the back of the shirt.
