We are currently working to get our first cookbook, "RECIPES AND FAMILY TREES".
We are taking orders for our first printing at this time.
Also we are starting work on the second annual Fall Festival.
If anyone is interested in getting involved in this (or any) fund raiser just let me know.

The organization has purchased genealogy books and they have sponsored the Knoxville Zoo for the 2005-2006 Summer Reading Program.

Donations to the library through our Friends group include:
  • Packages sent from Phyllis Shulder that contain autographed books, memorabilia of Knoxville, and a special collection of dinosaur fossils.
  • In a second shipment, Phyllis sent us a collection of fossils from various places and a collection of Fancy Feast Cat collectable Christmas ornaments.
  • In yet another package Phyllis Shulder has sent a set of 3 books on her personal genealogy. It covers some families from this area.
  • We just purchased a printer for the automation program at the library.

Our Friends group would like to take this time and thank the many merchants, vendors, volunteers and organizations for their support. Our first year was a success.

It is time for the 2nd Annual Fall Festival. It will be Saturday October 1, 2005, from 10 a.m. thru Dark. We have several children signed up for the Prince and Princess contest. This year we will be adding a Miss Teen Fall Festival. We have numerous people ready to sing and play music for us. And we will be having field events for the children who attend the festival. We would like to extend an invitation to all who would like to come and celebrate with us. Our goal this year is to raise enough money to purchase property for a new library. Come help us achieve our goals.
